Any fan of Lego has at some point or another created some awesome machine that they wished could have been a real full-sized version. Most of us dont have the resources to make that happen, but BMW Motorrad does. Enter the new Hover Ride Concept. Its not just some digital mock-up either. The display piece will debut this week at Lego World in Copenhagen, Denmark, before traveling to other locations like BMW Group Research and Innovation Center Munich and BMW Welt.

The project originally started off as a collaboration between Lego and BMW Motorrad, the German automakers motorcycle division, for a 603-piece BMW R 1200 GS Adventure kit. Many Lego kits are what the company calls a 2 in 1, where one set of Lego pieces can be styled into two finished products. For the R 1200 GS, the second kit was a futuristic flying motorcycle. The team at BMW Motorrad had so much fun working with Lego that the group decided to craft a full-scale model.
While this isnt a functioning concept, its awesome to see how a motorcycle became a Lego kit which in turn became a hoverbike concept. What was the front wheel on the motorcycle became the concepts propeller. The design also incorporates traditional BMW Motorrad elements like the boxer two-cylinder engine. The Lego kit is on sale now for $59.99.
