Extended Story (拓展故事) The Troll and the Wegon (兽人和兽人战车) Once upon a time, there was a troll called Urkt by the other trolls. 从前，在兽族中有一个被其他同胞称做 Urkt 的兽人。 He was not the strongest troll, though he was one of the meanest. He was not the biggest or the fastest or the best with a sword. 他不是最强壮的兽人，尽管他只是中等强壮中的一个。他不是最大、最快、最凶悍带刀的兽人。 But he was just a little bit more clever than most other trolls. 不过他只是比其他兽人更聪明一点儿。 The trolls were getting ready to attack the Kingdom. They built many fast ships with big red sails. They built wagons and tall rolling towers and traps to catch their enemies. So when an evil wizard came to them and promised lots and lots of gold, they said they would fight for him right away. The wizard wanted to take over the Kingdom’s castle, and the trolls were going to help him get it. 兽人喜欢战斗，但是他们更喜欢金子。所以当一个邪恶魔法师来到兽人城堡并许诺给他们许多金子时， 他们说他们将会为他(邪恶魔法师)马上就投入战斗。邪恶魔法师想要接管人类王国的城堡， 兽人正准备去为夺下人类城堡而战。 Urkt wanted to sail across the sea and fight, too. He was mean and he was clever and he was ready to battle the knights of the Kingdom. But because he was not as strong or as big or as fast as the other trolls, they said he could not go. Urkt 也想远渡重洋参加战斗。他是普通的、他是聪明的、他准备好去与人类士兵打仗。 但是他与其他兽人相比，不是最大，也不是最快，别的兽人说他不能去。 It was not fair! But what could one troll do to change their minds? 这并不公平！但是仅仅一个兽人怎么能撼动大家的决定呢？ The trolls were testing their new assault wagons. Each wagon was pulled by a giant troll. It was made to roll across the land very fast to attack the Kingdom’s castle and knights. It could launch big globs of sticky tar to make enemies stick to the ground. With these wagons, the trolls were sure it would be easy to take over the kingdom. 兽人们正在测试他们的新型攻击战车。每一款战车都由一个Giant Troll (绿色巨兽)来拉动。 攻击战车被制造是为了能更快地穿越大陆袭击人类王国城堡和士兵。战车能发射巨大的团状黏着物 来使敌人粘在地上不能动弹。有了这些攻击战车，兽人们确信他们能轻而易举攻下人类王国。 But there was a problem. The giant trolls did not want to pull the wagons. 但有一个问题。Giant Troll (绿色巨兽)不想拉攻击战车 The giant trolls were very strong, but they were not very smart. And they were very, very stubborn. Nobody knew how to make a giant troll move if it did not want to. Giant Trolls (绿色巨兽们)很强壮，但它们并不太聪明。而且十分顽固。 没有人知道如何使一个不想走动的Giant Troll (绿色巨兽)走动。 So the trolls decided to have a race. Whoever could get their giant troll to pull a wagon the fastest would get to be a Troll Captain and lead the attack on the Kingdom! 因此兽人们准备进行一场比赛。谁能让他们的Giant Troll (绿色巨兽)拉一辆攻击战车~ 最快达到目的的人将成为兽人首领并且带领大家袭击人类王国！ Urkt knew that this was his big chance. You didn’t need to be strong or big or fast to ride in a wagon. All you had to do was make the giant troll run. Urkt知道这是他人生的一次大机会。你不用十分强壮或是驾驭战车很快。 所有你需要做的事情就是让Giant Trolls(绿色巨兽们)移动。 But how? 只是怎么让巨兽移动呢？ The race began, but none of the wagons moved. The giant trolls just stood there and looked grumpy. Urkt tried talking to his wagon’s giant troll, but the big guy didn’t say anything. Urkt tried yelling, but that only made the giant troll angry. He even tried poking the giant troll with a stick. That was the worst idea of all, because the giant troll bopped him on the head with its big fist and knocked him right off the wagon. Being mean was not helping Urkt very much. He took out some rope. And finally, he took out a roasted turkey leg. 当Urkt回来的时候，肩上有背了个大袋子。他放下大袋子取出了一根长杆， 又取出了几根粗绳，最后，他拿出了一只烤火鸡腿。 Now the other trolls were REALLY confused. What was Urkt going to do with all of those things? 现在，其他的兽人更加疑惑了。Urkt准备这些东西到底想做什么？ Urkt got back up on his wagon. He took the rope and tied it to the end of the pole. Then he took the turkey leg and tied it to the rope. What he made looked like a big fishing pole…but with a turkey leg for bait! Urkt返回了他的巨兽战车，他将粗绳系在长杆的尾端，然后把火鸡腿又系在粗绳另一端。 做成的样子就像一根大大的钓鱼竿，只是把火鸡腿作为了诱饵。 He held the pole up over the giant troll’s head. The turkey leg hung in front of the giant troll. The giant troll’s stomach rumbled. It wanted that tasty food! 他手握长杆高举过Giant Troll(绿色巨兽)的头。火鸡腿就悬挂在Giant Troll的眼前。 Giant Troll看得胃里咕噜咕噜的。它想要那可口的食物。 The giant troll reached out its long arms, but the turkey leg was just out of reach. It took a step forward, but it still couldn’t quite reach the leg. It took another step, and then another, but the turkey leg always stayed just out of reach. Giant Troll(绿色巨兽)伸出它的长手臂，但火鸡腿不在它触手可及的范围内。 Giant Troll向前走了一步，但它仍然拿不到鸡腿。它又向前迈了一步， 可火鸡腿总是在它看得见摸不到的地方。 The wagon wheels started to turn. The giant troll was pulling it along as it walked! 巨兽战车的车轮开始旋转了。Giant Troll(绿色巨兽)拉着战车前进！当它走路时。 The giant troll walked faster and faster, still trying to get that food. Soon it was running, and Urkt’s wagon rolled along right behind it. The other wagons stood still behind him. His was the only one that was moving. Rich Story (故事主线) Troll Attack ！(兽人进攻！) It was a bright new day in the Kingdom. 那是人类王国阳光明媚的一天。 The sun was shining, the farmers were working in the fields, and peace and happiness filled the whole land. 太阳闪闪发亮，农民们正在田野里忙碌，整个大陆都洋溢着静谧与欢乐。 Just a little while before, the kingdom was in grave danger. An evil wizard, greedy for the Kingdom’s treasures, sent an army of skeleton warriors and fire-breathing dragons to attack and invade. He wanted to take over the king’s great castle and rule the entire kingdom. 一会儿以前(下文采用倒叙法~)，人类王国还处在重大危险中。一个邪恶巫师，觊觎 (ji-yu非分希望或企图得到)人类王国的财宝，派出大批骷髅战士军团和喷火龙袭击、侵略王国。 他还想接管国王的雄伟城堡，并且取国王而代之，统治整个人类王国。 The king and his knights fought back against the wizard’s army. The battle was long and hard, but at last they drove the skeletons back to the lands beyond the kingdom. They chased almost all of the dragons back to their homes high in the mountain-tops. And the wizard disappeared without a trace. 国王和他的骑士与邪恶巫师的军团展开战斗。战争很漫长很艰难，但最后他们还是 把骷髅大军赶回了远离王国的大陆。他们驱逐了几乎所有的龙到它们的家——高山之巅。 并且那个邪恶巫师再也无音讯，不知所去。 The king declared a grand celebration to be held all across the kingdom. Every village would hold a great feast, with food and music and games for everyone. The king sent his bravest knights on their horses to entertain the people of the kingdom with amazing jousts and displays of their best knightly skills. 国王宣布全国举行 At one village near the shore, the celebration was just beginning. Jesters in colorful clothes and funny pointed hats juggled leather balls while acrobats leaped and spun through the air. Knights showed off their swords in friendly duels. And a guard on a high wall by the sea heard the first rumble of thunder on the horizon. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The sound of thunder grew louder and louder as the guard looked out to sea. A dark shadow slowly grew on the distant horizon, like storm clouds rising from the water. But they weren’t clouds. They were sails. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The shadow on the horizon was made of dozens of dark red sails. Each sail was painted with a white skull with a mouth full of big, sharp teeth. The guard on the high wall by the sea knew what that symbol meant. Trolls! The warning bell rang out. The cry was passed from guard to guard until it echoed all through the village. The sounds of laughter and celebration stopped. Troll warships were attacking! Everyone knew about the trolls. They came in their ships from a land far across the sea. They were pirates of the land and water who stole gold from villages wherever they went. And they were fierce, strong warriors who would fight for whoever paid them the most. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The sound wasn’t thunder at all. On each warship was a giant troll, a huge thing twice as tall and ten times as strong as its smaller cousins. In front of each giant troll was an immense drum. As the troll warriors rowed, the giant troll beat his drum, and as he beat his drum, the troll warriors rowed. The drumming was coming faster now as the ships neared the shore. The guard could see the trolls on board the nearest one as they prepared for battle. They were polishing their swords, sharpening their spears, and loading balls of black tar into their launchers. As the villagers ran for their homes, the guards got ready to fight. They carried giant rocks up to the mighty catapult on top of the wall. They had to stop the trolls before they reached the shore! One! They pulled the catapults down as far as they would go. Two! Working together with all their strength, they heaved a massive boulder onto the catapult. Three! They released the catapult! As they let go, the catapult hurled the boulder up, up, up into the air. It flew high into the sky, and then it began to fall back down toward the sea. Its aim was perfect. The rock dropped right on top of the first warship. KRAKK! It was not the sound of a breaking boat, as the guards had expected. It was the sound of breaking stone. As the boulder fell toward the ship, the giant troll stood up, and with a single mighty swing of his battle club, he smashed the huge stone to pieces. Then he sat down and kept right on drumming. The other trolls laughed as they rowed to the beat of the drum. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! There was only one thing to do. The village needed its secret weapon. The guard who had first spotted the sails on the horizon ran down the stairs on the far side of the wall. He opened a creaking door and entered a hidden passage buried under the ground. He climbed down, down, down until he reached a gigantic stone door. A knight in silver armor stood in front. The knight knew why the guard was there. It was time to open the door and release what was waiting inside. The trolls were almost at the shore. They could see the village guards lined up on the wall, but they were not afraid. There were many more trolls than guards. Soon, they would fight. Soon, they would win. Soon, all the gold in the village would belong to them. And then they would sail on to the next village and the next, until they had all of the gold in the kingdom. Then there was a new sound. It was faint at first, but soon they started to hear it over the loud pounding of the drums. It seemed to come from deep underground, and it was rising toward the surface fast. ROOOAAAAAAR! Huge green and yellow wings appeared over the other side of the wall. They flapped once, then twice, and then an incredible sight appeared. An enormous dragon rose into the air, with the knight in shining silver armor riding on its back. The king’s knights had driven all the dragons away except for one. That one, they had tamed to defend the kingdom. It had once been their enemy. Now it was their friend and protector. The dragon roared again. Its long tail lashed behind it. Its yellow eyes, protected by the metal armor on its head, stared at the first troll warship. Then it attacked! The dragon dove at the warship and opened its mouth wide. Orange flames came out of its jaws as it passed over the trolls. The beating of its wings stirred up huge waves in the water, making the ship rock back and forth. The trolls were frightened. Even a giant troll couldn’t beat an angry armored dragon! The giant troll started to pound its drum faster and faster, but this time the trolls at the oars were rowing in the other direction. First one ship, then two, then three, and then every warship in the troll fleet turned away from the shore and headed back out to sea. As the guards cheered and the celebration started again in the village, the knight and his dragon landed on the high wall. Together, they watched the red sails disappear into the distance. The trolls were gone, but they would be back. And the knights of the Kingdom would be ready!

Characters —— The Good (正义的角色) 1.The Good king 善良国王 To me, my knights! Safeguard the kingdom and drive these villains from our gates!” 效忠于我，我的骑士！保卫王国&驱赶这些恶棍出我们的大门！ The Good King is the wise and noble ruler of the Western Kingdom. All the villagers and townsfolk of the kingdom respect him, and his legion of brave and loyal knights protect him and follow his commands. When the Evil Wizard sends his skeleton army to attack the Castle, the King and his Knights fight back with strategy, swords and catapults! 2.The Lead General 领头将军 I would not order a charge that I did not lead myself. Swords up, shields ready…and to battle!” The fearless Lead General has fought in many battles and risen to become the general of all the King’s knights. He always fights with honor and never backs down from a challenge. With his shining armor, loyal steed and trusty sword, he’s sure to triumph over the forces of evil! 3.The Brave Knights 勇敢骑士 “To arms! To arms! For King and Kingdom, let no enemies get past our defenses!” The Good King’s army includes archers, crossbowmen, royal guards and a legion of brave and loyal knights. They’ve sworn to defend the king and the Castle against all enemies, even the fire-breathing dragons and the Evil Skeletons of the Evil Wizard! 4.The Princess 公主 “If a brave and handsome knight doesn’t get here to rescue me soon, I’m escaping on my own!” The King’s only daughter is beautiful and brave, but a little headstrong. When the Evil Wizard captured her, she tried to escape so many times that he had to lock her in the Skeleton Tower. Now she waits for a hero to come to her rescue…if she doesn’t get away herself first! 5.Dwarves 小矮人 No fight, no glory!” 没有战争，没有光荣！ The cheerful Dwarves have the courage of humans twice their size. They don’t like to start fights, but they are very good at finishing them, and they will always help a friend in trouble. Natural miners and tinkerers, they can sometimes be so distracted by shiny metal objects or interesting new inventions that they forget about the battle going on around them. They are not yet used to fighting above ground, but that won’t stop them from charging at trolls every chance they get!

Characters —— The Evil (邪恶的角色) 1.The Evil Wizard 邪恶巫师 Ha ha ha ha! Rise, my skeletal legions! Obey my commands and conquer the kingdom!” 哈~哈~哈！平身(也可作"召唤出来"意思)，我的骷髅军团！服从我的命令&征服人类王国！ The Evil Wizard rules the barren wasteland to the East from the top of his Skeleton Tower. His wicked goal is to conquer the other kingdoms and rule them all with his magic. The dark sorcery of his lightning staff lets him create Evil Skeletons and control powerful dragons, and his crystal ball lets him spy on his enemies wherever they are. Beware his evil eye! 2.The Black Skeleton 黑色骷髅骑士 “By our master’s command, the Castle and the kingdom will be ours. None shall stop us!” Clad in enchanted black armor, the Black Knight Skeleton leads the Evil Wizard’s dark army across the kingdom. Stronger and more cunning than the other Evil Skeletons, he is a master of fighting and lacks any honor in battle. Forever loyal to his master, he will do anything to capture or destroy the Castle! 3.The Dragon 龙 “ROOOAAAAAAAR!” These legendary monsters used to fly down from the mountains to raid the kingdom’s towns for gold and other treasure. But now the Evil Wizard has learned to control them with his magic wand, and they must obey his every command. With their fire breath and powerful wings, they are the most dangerous part of the Wizard’s dark army. No one knows what will happen if they ever break free of his magic! 4.The Evil Skeletons 邪恶骷髅 Attack! Fight! Destroy!” Created by the sorcery of the Evil Wizard’s staff, the Evil Skeletons and their magical steeds never know fear, hunger or sleep. Mindlessly obedient to their master, they attack in great numbers to overwhelm their enemies. Some skeletons have been trained to ride and control the great dragons of the Wizard’s dark army! 5.Giant Troll 绿色巨兽 “Uhh…SMASH!” 嗯-猛击！ Giant Trolls are huge and amazingly strong, but also very slow and clumsy. Whether pulling heavy war machines or swinging their massive clubs at anything brave or foolish enough to face them, they are nearly unstoppable in battle. Fortunately, they’re so dim-witted that they sometimes forget who they’re fighting and start clobbering warriors on their own side! Giant Trolls(绿色巨兽们)非常巨大并且惊人地强壮，但反应十分迟钝、笨拙。 无论是拉重型战争机械，还是向足够勇敢或愚蠢对付它们的人，挥动厚重的大头棒。 它们在战斗中几乎不可阻挡。幸运的是，它们如此傻以至于有时会忘了自己要打谁， 7.Troll Warrior 兽人小兵 Gold and plunder!” 金子和掠(lue)夺 A disorderly, disobedient band of thieves and mercenaries, the greedy Trolls travel the world in search of wealthy kingdoms to loot. When the Evil Wizard asked them to help him conquer the Castle, they were only too happy to join him in exchange for promises of gold, jewels and other riches. Though cowards on their own, they act much tougher in a group…especially when they have a Giant Troll to back them up!

The weapons 1.Axe The handle of the Axe varies in length, so it is possible to use it one handed or 2 handed. The Axe is great for impact. 2.Fiail The Flail is made of a weight attached to a handle with a chain. The evil skeletons prefer to use a spiked head (known as a morning star) to the end of the chain, as it looks more vicious. 3.Glaive A spear-like weapon with a sword at its end. It is great for attacking the enemies from a distance, standing behind a shield wall. 4.Halberd The halberd consists of an axe blade topped with a spike mounted on a long shaft. It has a hook on the back side of the axe for grapping mounted opponents. 5.Lance A heavy spear used by knights on horseback. Its additional weight makes it a very effective weapon against armored opponents. 6.Scythe Originally an agricultural tool for reaping grass, but the evil skeletons enjoy using it as a weapon. The scythe is used either 2 handed on a staff or single handed as an inversed scimitar. 7.Spear One of the earliest weapons used by man, but still very efficient for both melee and as a ballistic weapon. A formation of trained spearmen will be able to defeat nearly any force. 8.Sword A soldier’s preferred fighting weapon. When attacking the warrior can use it for many things, but its ability to parry attacks make it the most versatile weapon available. 9.Crossbow The crossbow takes great strength to load, but requires little effort to shoot. It uses heavy bolts that don’t have the flight capability of an arrow, yet they are still very effective in battle. 10.Magic Wind The staff is a weapon primarily used by Wizards or other users of magic and sorcery. Magic staves are used as a tool to focus the magic energy of the user. 11.Double - Headed Axe The weight of the Double-Headed Axe makes it less practical than the normal Axe, and only the strongest of warriors can wield them.
